Shareholder News
This page will give shareholders general information about the company. As a
shareholder, you will receive mailings that will not be published on this
website.
Our preferred method of communication is by email, because of the cost, but all
official correspondence will be posted to the primary shareholder's address.
We are now planning our grand opening, no dates yet but it will be in September
or October.
Our first AGM is also on our minds and it will be before the end of the year.
We are operating a waiting list for people who are interested in investing in
this project, if you know someone who would like to be added to the list they
need to contact the Secretary.
We have
received advanced assurance from HM Revenue and Customs that our share offer
will qualify for the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS). HM Revenue and Customs
describe the income tax relief:
This is available to individuals
only, who subscribe for (although this can be through a nominee), shares in an
EIS qualifying company. There has to be a minimum investment of £500 worth of
shares in any one company in any one tax year. The relief is 20% of the cost of
the shares, to be set against the individual’s income tax liability for the tax
year in which the investment was made. We can not claim the EIS status until the
scheme has been generating electricity for 4 months. This means we can not issue
the EIS3 tax relief certificate to you until 2009 at the earliest.
